Chytrid Fungus (Zoo Project)

This is the result of a project done in cooperation with the Zurich Zoo’s
department of education. It explains the spread and impact of the Chytrid fungus, which is currently one of the biggest threats to amphibians. Some species have become endangered, while others have gone extinct due to wide-spread infection of the fungi. Unfortunately this is a global issue and can therefore be found in local swiss amphibians as well.
The concept for this corner of the exotarium includes UV lighting, which would illuminate a second layer of information, at first hidden from sight. Visitors would be able to switch between these two light settings.
